George and Orpha Gibson Distinguished Visiting Professorship

 

The Department of Geology and Geophysics at the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities invites applications or nominations for a one-year or one-semester appointment as the George and Orpha Gibson Distinguished Visiting Professor. Preference will be given to an established scientist with a vibrant research program who will interact enthusiastically within a broad spectrum of research activities. Expectations include teaching one workshop/seminar course per semester, giving one public lecture per semester, and interacting with faculty, research staff and students. The appointment carries a competitive stipend. Letter of application or nomination should include proposed research, financial needs, potential for interaction with faculty, workshop/seminar topic, and a curriculum vita.
