A 2-year postdoctoral position is available for integrated microstructural and petrologic research in the Department of Geology & Geophysics and the Characterization Facility at the University of Minnesota.
The ideal candidate will have experience with electron backscattered diffraction analysis, but candidates with expertise in other electron microscopy techniques are encouraged to apply. A background in (micro)structural or textural analysis of minerals, ceramics, or metals, and/or in some aspect of metamorphic geology is desirable. A Ph.D. at the time of appointment is required.
