The Department of Geology and Geophysics at the University of Minnesota may have positions available (contingent upon funding) to work with faculty members conducting research. Faculty research specialties include but are not limited to geochemistry, paleomagnetism, Quaternary studies, sedimentology, petrology, hydrogeology, structural geology, rock physics, and rheology. Persons interested in working with faculty members are strongly encouraged to view departmental faculty home pages for individual research interests. Positions may become available during the 2008-09 fiscal year. Minimum requirements for these positions are: Research Fellow--M.S. in physical sciences (requisition #156388), Postdoctoral Associate--Ph.D. in physical sciences with no experience (requisition #156386), and Research Associate--Ph.D. in physical sciences with 3 years of experience (requisition #158387).
