In the summer of 2005, 10 interns spent 5-10 weeks in the Department of Geology and Geophysics.  The research projects were supplemented by optional field trips within Minnesota: Duluth Complex/North Shore of Lake Superior; karst and caves in the southeast; 3.5 million-year old rocks in the Minnesota River Valley; structural geology at Jay Cooke State Park; and the Agate Stampede at Moose Lake (some photos from the field trips).

Again this year, the interns presented posters of their research at the end of the program.  Photos from the poster session.
