Application for admission will be considered at any time, but most applications for fall semester admission are received during the preceding September through December.Ý Applicants wishing to be considered for financial aid must have all application materials for both admission and financial aid submitted by the January 15 deadline.


Step One:

Step Two:

Contact faculty member(s) to discuss research possibilities.


Step Three:

Gather and send department application and supporting materials to the department by January 15
 

  • Application for Department and Financial Aid
  • Statement of Purpose (including career objectives, research interests, teaching and research experience, and publications).
  • Official copies of all transcripts.
  • Three letters of recommendation addressed to the Director of Graduate studies (in letter format).
  • GRE scores (official copy).
  • TOEFL scores (photo copy OK) for international students whose native language is not English.

    Step Four:

    Gather and send application for admission and supporting materials to the Graduate School, preferably by January 15 but no later than June 15
     

  • Application for Admission
  • Credential Examination FeeÝ ($55 US students and permanent residents; $75 international students)
  • Official copies of all transcripts.
  • Official copy of TOEFL scores for international students whose native language is not English
