In addition to faculty and research at the Twin Cities' campus, many of the faculty members in the Department of Geological Sciences at the University's Duluth campus have graduate advising status in the Geology and Geophysics Department in the Twin Cities.  These faculty members can serve as members of examining, graduate thesis, and dissertation committees of students studying in the Twin Cities and some can serve as full advisors for Ph.D. students working in Duluth.  Duluth has its own Masters program, however Ph.D. candidates who wish to work with a member of the Duluth faculty must apply through the Twin Cities and meet the same requirements.  More information about the Duluth geosciences department is available on their web site: http://www.d.umn.edu/geology/.  Faculty members in Duluth who have graduate advising status in the Department of Geology and Geophysics, Twin Cities are
