Course requirements
Liberal Education Requirements (55 cr).
Specific courses required of all geology students must be taken with A/F grading.
Freshman year
- Math 1271, 1272, (or 1371, 1372; or 1571 or 1572)..............................8 cr
Math 1271, or 1371, or 1571 satisfy LIB ED mathematical Thinking requirement
- Physics 1301, 1302.................................................................................8 cr
should be taken as early as possible, Phys 1301 is a pre-requisite for Geo 2201
Phys 1301 and 1302 satisfy Writing Intensive (WI) requirements
- Chem 1021, 1022....................................................................................8 cr
should be taken as early as possible, Chem 1021 is a pre-requisite for Geo 2301
Chem 1021 satisfies LIB ED physical science requirement
- Geo 1xxx (optional but counts as geology elective)
