    should be taken as early as possible, Phys 1301 is a pre-requisite for Geo 2201

These courses must be taken with A-F grading unless available only with S-N. Choose specific courses in consultation with an advisor.

  • Physics 2303 (4 cr)
  • Plus 9 additional science credits chosen from Math, Physics, Chemistry, Engineering, Biological Sciences, Soil Science, Geography, or any physical or natural science and upon approval of undergraduate advisor. No more than 4 credits may be taken at the 1xxx level. (SEE RECOMMENDATIONS BELOW)

Suggested Cognate Science Electives for Geology and Geophysics Majors NOTE: Biology related courses usually has BIOL 1009 (General Biology) as a prerequisite. BIOL 1009 satisfies LIB ED biology requirement. Some courses may require additional perquisites.
