Description: Geologic mapping
on topographic maps and aerial photos; field identification of igneous,
sedimentary and metamorphic rocks; measurement of stratigraphic sections;
study of structural and geomorphic features. Location likely to be near
Dillon, MT.

Geo 4911 - Advanced Field Geology

Description: Geologic mapping;
study of igneous, metamorphic, and sedimentary rocks; structures and surficial
features; problem solving. Paper required. Location likely to be in Colorado or New Mexico. COURSE WILL BE TAUGHT ONLY IF AT LEAST 7 STUDENTS ENROLL.
