Research Interests

My current research interests include (but are hardly limited to) eruption dynamics, fluid dynamics and the relationship between ice and magma. My Ph.D. research focuses on using a numerical upscaling method to measure magma permiability at the conduit scale. This will be achieved by making comparisons between a variety of pumice samples and their bubble networks and developing computer models. My field sites include Bishop Tuff in Long Valley Caldera, CA, Galapagos, Iceland and potentially more.
