Alex is interested in combining what he has learned from computer science with the geosciences.
His current project involves analog experiments in volcanology investigating bubble and particle
interaction in corn syrup. The experiment is filmed with two cameras and eventually object
geometries are mapped into 3D space for Lattice-Boltzmann simulations.
