Peat Solheid

Peter A. Solheid (Peat) is a Junior Scientist at the IRM.

I am currently working on a varaity of projects here at the IRM. First of all, I run the Mossbauer Spectrometer. I also help keep the variety of equipment and computers running. Often, our equipment and software need special modifications in order to accomodate the often wierd sample shapes and sizes that are common to geological samples. Another fun part of my job is helping IRM visiting fellows and others become familiar with the equipment and helping to interpret results, so if you are visiting please feel free to find me if you need some help. (I only look like this in the morning before real coffee or after IRM coffee!)

I am involved in several research projects at the IRM. Here are some of my past and present research areas.
